Logbook - Basic Theory and Practical course in early pregnancy (8-12 weeks) and fetal biometry

Aim of the Course:
To become familiar with the ideal machine set up and use of the transabdominal probe. To understand the theory of early pregnancy 'dating' (8-12 weeks) scans and ultrasound assessment of fetal size, liquor and the placenta.
Learning Objectives:
- Undetstand the principals of conducting a safe and appropriate ultrasound exmination
- Be able to record and label images accurately
- Understand and be able to assess placental site localisation and fetal position
- Understand how to and be able to measure of amniotic fluid volume
- Understand how to and be able to measure fetal biometry
- Understand and be able to measure Crown Rump Length in early pregnancy.
Course fee is £45 - Places are strictly limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
Practical hands on session with real patients during the afternoon session.
