National Conference - Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)

This national, three stranded conference is being organised and hosted by young people with the support of professionals, medical students and the charity Integrate Bristol.
1. Medical - for doctors, midwives, nurses and medical students, supported by RCOG. Lectures and case discussions delivered by high profile speakers:
Definition and Identification
Complications and Management
Medico-legalissues and Child Protection.
2. Legal-Protection - for teachers, child protection offers, policy makers and police.
3. Young People - the focus will be on creative projects, sharing knowledge and strategy.
All delegates will receive an attendance certificate and supplementary literature and medical delegates will receive CPD points from RCOG.
The conference is free to attend and will include a buffet. Booking closes on 11th July 2012 - places are limited so book early.
