Effective Care of Mothers & Babies at
Risk of Preterm Birth, Fetal Growth Restriction & Stillbirth
The Need for Training
1 in 137 babies are stillborn or die within seven days of birth, that’s 15
babies every day (Perinatal Mortality Surveillance Report, MBRRACE-UK
2015). The UK has one of the highest neonatal mortality rates in Europe,
75% of these deaths were babies under 2500g. Predictive methods need
to be learnt in order to prevent future deaths from occurring.
